Nikon - Optos California

We have always tried to be at the leading edge of every aspect of optometric care. We want to look after eyes at the very best way possible. We use the most innovative technology to look inside the eye at the retina.

In March 2024, we trialled the Nikon-Optos California and once the device was installed, we realised this was one of the most important instruments in the practice.

We went from imaging 15% of the retina to over 80% in a single photo, even through cataracts and without dilating drops!

This hospital grade equipment gave our optometrists the most comprehensive view of the retina we had ever seen and allowed us to detect conditions we would not see otherwise.

In fact there have been over 2,000 clinical studies that have shown Ultrawide Imaging improves patient care and ultimately saves sight.

From April 2024, we are excited to include the Nikon-Optos California in our extended eye examinations and Eyeplan Eye Exams.
